Second Wednesday of Advent - God's Blessing for His People

It was beautiful to wake up this morning to a world of white.  Liam and Trinity did not waste a moment and they were outside building a snowman at 7:30 am before the rain started to fall.  Our reading today is quite short but it is one of the most famous blessings in the bible.  We talked to the kids about how this blessing gives us more insight into the unique relationship between God and His chosen people.

Today, Liam who wasn't allowed to play in the snow last year because of his surgeries saw our first snow of the year as God's blessing.  He has waited patiently all year and this morning he felt God's face shining on him with favour.

Have a blessed day!

Numbers 6:22-27 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

The Priestly Blessing
 22 The LORD spoke to Moses: 23 "Tell Aaron and his sons how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:    24 The LORD bless you and protect you;
    25 the LORD make His face shine on you,

    and be gracious to you;
    26 the LORD look with favor on you
    and give you peace.
    27 In this way they will put My name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."
