It's Official Our House is For Sale

Snowing again even as the sign goes up!

We did it.  The house is ready, the sign is up on the front lawn and the lock box is on our front door.  We are happy with all the work we have done.  We could not have gotten it all ready if it wasn't for our parents and our kids.  They all worked so hard, they have been amazing.  Everything looks fresh and fantastic and all ready for a new family to move in.

It is has been fun over the past month to find treasures along the way as we have been cleaning and packing.  Although we worked hard, we also had the pleasure of being distracted by wonderful memories that we have had in this house and in our life.  Family pictures that were discovered tucked into books and other places were some of my favourite finds, as they produced smiles and conversations of, "Remember when....".

This really is a fantastic house for entertaining and we have taken full advantage in the six years that we have been here.  So many significant conversations have taken place in our family room and in our kitchen.  So many meals shared with friends, mission teams, church family and our own family.  So much laughter has rung through the halls and so much music has been played and listened to within these walls.  And of course outside our walls....on our driveway....in the backyard....on our balcony.  It has been good to remember, as we look forward to a new chapter in our lives.

So let the showings begin!

  1. Dear Kimberly,
I would like to think I found your blog through surfing but no the Holy Spirit directed me.
My tears, prayers, and somewhat understanding are with you, your husband and Liam.NO PERSON CAN TRULY UNDERSTAND HOW ANOTHER PERSON FEELS EVEN IF THEIR SITUATION IS THE SAME. I will add him to my prayer list and if you had a blog button, PRAY FOR LIAM, I would be honored to place it on the right side of my blog.
I just became your newest friend/follower. I like friend better than follower as we can both learn, inspire and celebrate Christ as friends. I pray you will visit my blog and decide to be my friend.
I HAVE 2 BLOGS...THERE'S AN ANGEL ON MY FRONT PORCH is barely active now and I do all my posting on Simply Debbie.
My only beloved daughter was diagnosed with a tumor size football in her pelvis called rhabdomyosarcoma at the age 10 1/2 years old...she was not suppose to live...God granted us a miracle but she battled some side affect of having cancer up to 2009 when she was struck with cancer again.
She went home to be with the Lord at the age of 33 years old. It is the most grief I have walked through...There are times I beg and plead with God to just let me see her.
I really just want to say, when she was in the clinic and I would see the other children go home I WOULD CRY FOR THEIR FAMILIES BUT I WOULD TURN MY FACE TO THE WALL AND SAY, LORD I TRUST YOU...I DON'T CARE HOW BAD IT SEEMS, I TRUST YOU.
iT HAS BEEN A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU AND THE SOLDIER LIAM.
    HUGS, HUGS, AND MORE HUGS
