We have just been moved into a quieter room in the PCCU (critical care) where Liam should be able to continue his recovery with a little less stimuli to disturb him. We are thankful for the great staff of nurses and doctors who are learning about Liam and continuing to give such great care.
Liam is doing very well, although very tired. He is sleeping most of the time...but who can blame him?! He will remain in the PCCU for one more night for observation as they keep a very close eye on his progress watching for any sign of complication from a second surgery. He continues to make remarkable progress and the physiotherapist said he is doing really well and so far does not see any signs of weakness.
Liam was struggling with nausea a bit last night and early this morning but he just ate some Jello for the first time a few minutes ago (about 4:00pm) and so far so good! We are praying that he is able to eat and keep his strength.
Because Liam is sleeping so much, they are keeping such close watch on the progress and trying to reduce stimuli they have suggested keeping visitations to immediate family until further notice. We will update the blog when that changes Thanks to everyone who is praying!!!!!
Keeping you in our prayers:
ReplyDeleteThank you Jesus for the blessings of great surgeons and great hands that work miracles on your behalf.
Thank you for the moments of rest and ability to replenish the mind and body.
We praise you Lord for the great things you have done and petition you for Liam's recovery, you know the intricacies of his surgery and recovery Lord and we ask with great faith for no infections, we pray as his body heals all his vital signs come back to normal, we ask your Holy Spirit to pray on behalf of Kimberly and Jason when they are too tired to be able to pray what is in their hearts. We pray for patience and thank you for your blessings each day of encouragment, love, faith. Please Lord cover this wonderful family in your love and comfort, peace and protection as they stay close together, I pray friends would be patient and continue to pray.
You are our everlasting everloving evercaring eternal Father, who knows all things and we put our faith in you.
Thank you for faith Father God,
Amen
I only had 3 words to write in my prayer journal today.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU JESUS!
At the end of my prayer time I opened my bible to Romans 5 Verses 1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Amen
Get as much sleep as you can. The body does a lot of healing when it is sleeping which is just what the doctor has ordered. In a few years when you're a bit older you'll be wanting to do a lot of sleeping...think of this as practice for being a growing teen :) We are praying like crazy that you continue to gain strength and heal. We are soooo glad to hear that things are going so well.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Lyndsay, Matt and Noah
P.S. I guess you'll have to save your little treat for when you can handle more stimuli :)
Liam, what are you up to this morning? Do you miss me yet?! HAHA... I hope you are feeling 100% better today and that you are bugging the nurses with your little cheerio buttons! I am sending a big hug and lots of prayers.... Can't wait to see you.
